How To Build a Personal Blogging Network

By DevonGabriel on May 31st, 2011

Recently I am trying to use blogs to promote my business websites, most of the blogs I am working on are wordpress based, so far we all agree that WordPress is wonderful for automated posting, managing and much more, with the GPL liberal license make the WordPress the most favored blogging kit around the globe.

Lately I figured that I should build my own blogs and promote them, subsequently I can use my own blogs to promote my other websites, this is not something new, there are a lot of blog networks out there doing just that, the thing is that I don’t control those blogs, not to mention I can’t just post to them, its easy to understand that the price on those networks won’t be cheap.

If you have tried to maintain a few different blogs you will know its not easy, if you’re not using your blogs as spamming device, to write interesting content is always time consuming, a successful blog needs a lot of hard work. There are some interesting examples, look at this one, Heavy Duty Hand Tools, it has a nice name, and there are a lot of interesting articles on it, though its not a theme focused blog, you’ll find all kinds of different posts there. Here is another one, Transport Chains and Chain Tensioners, this blog is themed, all posts are following the same theme, there are a few well ranked keywords for this blog. I can show you a lot more sites, but the basics are all the same. Last but not least, in your little net you should have some loose blogs, do some casual postings randomly, just like this blog, Heavy Duty Chains and Load Binders, your blogging network looks more natural with these casual blogs.

If you have a few established blogs already, probably you can add a few more blogs to your arsenal, the old blogs will be helpful in promoting your newly built ones, this way you get your little blog network rolling. Of course its just the beginning, it won’t be easy to build even a tiny blogging network, do remember don’t do any black hat tricks for your sites, if you get black listed there is no come back.
